Haskell held a good Hermleigh team that is only one year removed from playing in the State Tournament to just 19 points the first half. Leading the team in steals was CEra with 5 followed by Delaney with 3, Emma 2, Taylor 2, Landry 1, and Melody 1.
The Maidens won the rebound battle over the Lady Cardinals. Taylor had a team high 7 rebounds followed by CEra with 6, Emma 3, Landry 3, and Melody 3.
Overall, I thought played pretty well on both ends of the floor. We definitely had too many turnovers and that was probably due to fatigue coming off the Christmas Break. I was proud of the girls for hanging tough and getting the win over a well coached Hermleigh team, head coach Blake Eddleman said.
