Maidens roll post Lady Dragons.
2A Haskell outscored 2A Shelbyville 39-13 the second half to get the 71-27 win in game three of the Fantasy of Lights Tournament on Saturday, November 24th. The Maidens remain undefeated on the season at 6-0.
Haskell shot (18-33) 55% from 2FG, (8-24) 33% from 3FG, (26-57) 46% FG, and (11-14) 79% from FT. Leading the Maidens in scoring was Senior CEra Taylor with 20 points and Junior Landry Hanson with 20 points. Other leading scorers on the morning were Taylor Manske with 10, Melody Martinez 8 points, Emma Roewe 6, Delaney Hanson 5, and Calie Everett 2. Haskell finished with a season high 24 assists. Taylor had a team high 7 assists followed by Ryanna with 5, Melody 3, Delaney 3, and Landry 3.
For the third game in a row, the Maidens forced their opponent to shoot below 20%. The Lady Dragons shot 18% from the field. Leading the team in steals was Calie with 2, CEra 2, Delaney 2, Emma 1, Landry 1, and Ryanna 1. Haskell dominated the boards 45-19 over Shelbyville. Delaney had a team high 8 rebounds followed by CEra with 6, Taylor 5, and Emma 4.
